Super Saturday Fun!

Today was Super Saturday at the church. I forgot to sign-up to do anything, but was asked to help the primary kids do a craft--so the kids and I went. One of the only things that was free was graham cracker trains (I say free, but we had to provide our own crackers, frosting and some candy to share.) Technically the graham crackers train project was not for the kids, but I couldn't deny Dylan the opportunity to make one. I built the train (It was only supposed to be an engine and a coal car, but Dylan insisted that we add a box car!) and Dylan was in charge of all the decorating. He picked out the candy and told me where to put the frosting.
Here is Dylan hard at work:

And here is the finished product:
If you look closely you will notice the licorice train tracks. We had been finished for a while when he brought me the licorice and told me that we had to have train tracks.
I really enjoyed making this with Dylan. He is such a fun kid and always fun to have around!
(I feel like I have left Maggie out the last few posts--I will come up with just a Maggie post soon!)

Uncle Ron looked at the train and said that was a lot of work. When I told him Dylan had to have a box car he said, of course. And then when we read about the tracks, he really smiled. We are so impressed.
