Rob and Dylan both had the day off from school today. We started the day by taking our Tahoe in to the dealership to get fixed (it should have been fixed last week, but didn't get done correctly). Next, we went to Wal-Mart to do some birthday shopping for Dylan (Grandma Heywood sent Dylan money). After that we came home. Dylan had a school project that we needed to work on and today was the perfect day to do it. Here is the finished project:

This is one of 8 turkey feathers that will decorate the bulletin board at his school. All of the members of our family had to participate and we had to use things available at home. We decided to go with a nature theme. Dylan and I went on a nature walk (around the yard) and found sticks, sand, leaves and acorns. Rob made Dylan's name out of sticks. I was in charge of the glue for the sand swirls and dots. Dylan sprinkled the sand and told me where he wanted the leaves and acorns. Maggie put on a couple of leaves. It was a fun project that didn't take too long. I am glad we have fun school projects to help get the creativity flowing!
While Dylan and I were collecting things in the yard Maggie was doing this:

She is
vacuuming the floor in only her shirt and Dylan's Thomas slippers (Don't worry--she does have a diaper on)!
What a funny, funny little girl!

What a fun little family you are! Maggie is hilarious. Glad you're having a good day off.
Great job on your crafty project. Maggie is too funny, maybe that's how we should all dress to do housework.
