Rob headed up to Georgia this morning to visit an old Army buddy of his and within a hour the kids were starting to drive me crazy! I decided that we would go have a picnic. I have wanted to visit the Rocky Bayou State Park for sometime, but have just never gotten around to it-- so, today was the day!! On the way in we saw this sign...
We didn't see any alligators during our visit. I am positive that I would rather see alligators at the zoo than at the park!
While at the park we also...
played on the playground,...
splashed in the water(no beach--the water is really high because of Hurricane Ike)...
and went for a walk through the trees.It was a fun little trip that didn't take much effort. When the weather cools down a bit I am hoping that we can go back and roast hot dogs and make s'mores (It may have to be a winter cook-out, but it sounds like fun!)

You are the BEST mom! I probably would have just sent them to play in their rooms! You are a great example to me...thanks!
I would probably rather see an alligator in the zoo, too...but that would have made for a very exciting story!
