Back to School!!!

My little baby boy is in kindergarten!
Yesterday was the first day of school and I know I have had a harder time with it than Dylan. Before school he told me, "Don't worry, Mom! I will be fine!" I think it would be easier for me if it wasn't full day. He starts school at 8:25 and I don't pick him up until 3:25. He had the option of riding the bus, but I can't handle him riding the bus and being gone all day!! Baby Steps!!

When I picked him up from school he was crying and told me he was starving, but it was only because he wanted to eat his own snack and not the one they provided at school.
He also told me about a boy in the lunch room that stood on his leg and hand and than kicked him in the armpit. He told me it was a much bigger kid, but there are only kindergartners and first graders in his school so the kid couldn't have been that much bigger. We talked about what to do if the kid bothers him again and Dylan responded with, "Mom, this much I do know: I will be fine if I never see that boy again!"
Other than that Dylan said he had a great time and learned all about lines! I think they spent a good part of the day learning how to line up--oh the memories!

So cute! Lining up just right is a very important thing! Easton is very excited to hear about Dylans first day.

Too funny! I am sure that will be the first of many hilarious Dylan stories. Boy, that is one long kindergarten day. Tell him Seth starts in a week and a half.

Dylan, what an adventure. You look so handsome for your first day of school. You will make some really good friends. Lining up is important and taking turns and flushing. Those are the things I remember Kindergarteners had to learn when I worked in the elementary school. We are so proud of you. Ron and Arva

Oh my goodness. He's a ham. I bet he will be fine if he never sees that boy again!! You can tell him that Kaydee doesn't get to ride the bus either (and is QUITE upset about it). Hope he has a great school year!

You just tell him to tell that other kid that there's a line of Heywood aunts, uncles and cousins ready to pound him if he doesn't leave Dylan alone! I hope he never sees that kid again! Looking forward to more adventures from Dylan!
