Dylan and Rob Updates

Conversation with Dylan about 5 seconds after I picked him up from his 2nd day of school (This will only make sense if you have read my post from Friday, Aug. 7):
Dylan: "Mom, I have good news and bad news!"
Me: "Okay, what is your news?"
Dylan: "Well the bad news is that I saw that kid again!"
Me: "What's the good news?"
Dylan: "The good news is that I was hiding and he didn't see me!"
Sending Dylan to school has made me want to wrap him in my arms and keep him home forever! Am I the only one that feels this way?
Anyway, I have been able to talk to Rob on the phone almost everyday and he is doing well. They have been really busy and it has been hot, but he said the weather feels like home (He is in California and loving the dry weather!) The highlight of his week was his shower that he got to take last night. The showers have not been working and he hasn't had any way to do any laundry so last night he took a shower and did some laundry in the shower. I don't even want to imagine what he is going to smell like in couple weeks when he gets home!
Other than that things are going well. I will try to get a Maggie post up later in the week.

That other kid better watch out...

I mostly feel that way when other kids are mean or they have a hard day for whatever reason...I'm a little overprotective...could you tell?

I almost got on a plane after reading Friday's post. I have no patience for bullys! Especially ones who pick on my family!

Glad to hear that Rob is doing well and that you guys are hanging in there.

It gets easier after kindergarten! By second grade, you'll be happy to see school start! (Although maybe that's only bad moms like me...)
