8 Years, Mother's Day Plants and an awesome Air Show

Get ready for another 3 in 1 post!
Today is our 8 year anniversary. Eight years ago I would never have guessed that we would be where we are today. We have done many things and have lived in quite a few places. I wouldn't have wanted to experience this adventure with anyone else but Rob.
I love you, Hon! Happy Anniversary!

Mother's Day was a little over one week ago. Our ward got all of the women in the ward a plant. I didn't think it was possible for a plant to go from completely healthy to completely dead in one week, but I guess it is! And when I say that this plant is dead I mean that it is crispy dead! I water it and loved it, but I guess it wasn't enough. It's probably a good thing that I don't have a garden!
This past Saturday we went to the Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station Air Show (Try saying that 5 times fast!) Anyway, some friends from the ward had purchased some seats and asked us if we wanted to go. The kids and I had never been to an air show and we had never been to South Carolina so we were definitely in! We had a great time! The weather was beautiful and we didn't get too sunburned!

Thanks Mike and Kim!
(Maggie even fell asleep on Mike for a few minutes!)
Dylan and his friends!
Preston (on the right) is Mike and Kim's son. The boy in the middle is Preston's friend, but I don't remember his name.
Here are a couple videos of the Blue Angels.
Turn off the music on the right before watching the videos.

A Marines air show? Oh, man, that'd be awesome... although you have to remember, if you're an enemy of the US, that second video is the last thing you ever see. Pretty cool, Dana.
Oh, and the plant was probably sick. Yeah, let's go with that.

1. HAPPY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

2. Happy Mother's Day....don't worry---you're a much better mom than you are a gardener. ;-)

3. FUN!!!

There's nothing like a good shot of the Blue Angels to stir that feeling of patriotism in me! Thanks for sharing that.

If you had a garden, you could have a contest with us! Heather wants in on the action, too...thought I'm not sure it's really fair with the difference in soil, humidity, rainfall, etc...too many variables. Like I always say, the prophet said to plant a garden...he never said anything about the harvest!

Happy anniversary! Can't believe it's been 8 years already...seems like just yesterday!

I just had to comment. Greg and I celebrated 19 years on the 19th. I didn't realize we shared the date. How does it go so fast? Amazing how that love continues to grow. Have a great day, and I love the pics of Maggie and Dillon. Terra

Congratulations on 8 years! Neither one of you looks to have aged much in that time...you still look as good as you did on your wedding day!

Thanks for sharing all of your fun family experiences. I really enjoy being able to keep up with all of your adventures.

And to be honest, Jeff and I lost a few plants in the green house this year. We think it got too hot. Can you imagine? But we'll plant seeds this weekend and hopefully we'll be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor this fall! Jeff is looking forward to the sweet corn!

Happy Happy Anniversary (a few days late!)
Your poor plant...those things never make it...I think the Bishopric poisons them before hand so us moms feel bad!

I really enjoy keeping up on your blogs. What adventures you have!
Happy Anniversary. It was a shocker to hear that it had been 8 years. Of course, Grandpa Heywood was still here then and he's been gone for seven years now. You've got a great family!
