December Fun!!!

December has been a fun, but crazy month. We have loved being in Utah for the holiday--the only thing that could have made it better was having Rob home with us.
Here are some of the things that we did this month:
We rode the FrontRunner Train and Trax down to The Festival of Trees to watch Anne and Beth sing.
The kids had a great time on the train and Anne and Beth did a great job.
Dylan waiting for FrontRunner:
Maggie and Leigh on the train
A cool car at The Festival of Trees

The gingerbread train at The Festival of Trees (It's hard to see, but it is on the top row.)

We watched Dawn's kids for a few days and took them sleigh riding.
I only got a few pictures before my camera ran out of batteries.
Dylan wouldn't go down the hill on a sled, but had a great time going down on his bum.
Maggie only went down once on a sled and was finished with that.
Here they are at the bottom of the hill:
My mom made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate on Christmas Eve.
Maggie loved eating the frosting:
Dylan loved eating the frosting as well, but did get a few cookies decorated.
Kris, Jay, Mont and Bonnie were here for Christmas Eve. My mom made a wonderful dinner and the kids got new Christmas jammies.
Will, Jayne, Maggie, Kate, Dylan, Anne and Beth look so cute!
Mont, Bonnie, Brady, McLane and Kate spent the night so they could enjoy Christmas Day with us.
We have a tradition that all the kids get their picture taken on the stairs before they can see what they got from Santa.
Maggie enjoying her presents from Santa:
And Dylan enjoying new Thomas jammies from Santa:
Maggie got a princess table from Santa and spent the better part of the day sitting at it.
A little later in the day Dylan and Maggie opened their presents from their Heywood family.
They loved every bit of it!
Thanks so much Heidi, Jeremiah, Jeron, Jadee, Davis, Grandpa, Patti and Holly!!!!!
Later on Christmas day all of the family came over to open presents.
Grandpa got all the kids large balloons to play with.
I think Maggie thought hers was an exercise ball!
On Saturday we headed up to Idaho for the annual Beckstead family party at the church.
We played musical chairs (Parker won for the second year in a row--I think he cheats!):

Grandma made quilts for all of the grandkids.
We are missing 8 or 9 people in this picture.
Grandma did a great job with the quilts and it was definitely the highlight of the day!
We broke pinatas at the party.
Maggie hit the pinata twice and then started crying I didn't even get a picture of her hitting the pinata, but I did get a picture of her crying!
Dylan was a bit hesitant, but finally decided it would be fun to hit the pinata. He didn't break it open, but he did give it a few good whacks!

After the party at the church we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Here are Grandma and Grandpa opening their presents:
Thanks for the great time Grandma and Grandpa! As always, we had a wonderful time!
