First Day of School

Dylan has officially had his first day at Northwest Florida State College (formerly Okaloosa-Walton College. They just changed the name a couple of weeks ago.) He is going to the Child Development and Education Center. It is a nationally accredited program with wonderful teachers and staff.
To let you know how excited Dylan was to start school this was a conversation we had yesterday:
Dylan: "Mom, I am so excited!"
Me: "Why are you so excited?"
Dylan: "Because I only have one more sleep!"
Me: "One more sleep until what?"
Dylan: "One more sleep until I get to go to school!"
Today when I dropped him off he gave me a hug and a kiss and turned to talk to his teacher. I am so happy that his is already completely comfortable, but it has been a bit of a sad morning without him home. Maggie is a lot more needy without Dylan here and I think we are both going to miss our little play buddy.

How exciting and sad! He looks so cute. Your blog is awesome, I've been really distracted and have not kept up very well these past couple of weeks. Looks like you guys are having a great time in Florida.

Wow, Dylan! Very exciting times... enjoy because the day will probably come when he's not quite so excited about school. I hope they can teach him something he doesn't already know. Dana, you have done a wonderful job preparing him!!
